At CIMCO, the ice rink refrigeration systems we manufacture are part of the solution.

We've already built thousands of environmentally conscious rinks across North America, including the rink at Evergreen Brick Works, Toronto’s preeminent leader in sustainable practices for cities, and Oak Park Ice Rink in Stockton, CA, which will be the state’s first CO₂ ice rink. In our ice rink refrigeration packages, we use ammonia and CO₂, climate-friendly refrigerants with zero or negligible Global Warming Potential (GWP), because climate change is about science, and science says these natural refrigerants are the most environmentally friendly choice for right now, and for the future. We also offer heat-recovery technology, which helps ice rinks be more energy efficient, reducing their costs—and their carbon footprint.

For facilities where an engine room is not available or desired, our Breakaway ice rink refrigeration package is a compact standalone system that is built for the elements and can be installed outdoors for minimum intrusion. It runs on climate-friendly CO₂ refrigerant.
