Nestlé, a multinational food and beverage company, is expanding its ice cream factory in London, Ontario, Canada. The expansion project aims to meet the growing demand for Nestlé’s ice cream products across Canada. The refrigeration contract for the project was awarded to CIMCO in 2021 and the project is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

The expansion involves adding two new production lines to the ice cream factory which requires a 9000 square feet two-floor building expansion. The two floors will include employee changeroom facilities, water closets, a conference room, a compressor room, and new offices. CIMCO will design, supply and install the ammonia and glycol work for the new compressor room. The contract also includes the detailed design, supply, and installation of the ventilation system for the new two-floor compressor room.

The expansion project will result in increased production capacity and efficiency, thereby meeting the growing demand for Nestlé’s ice cream products across Canada. The successful completion of the refrigeration contract will ensure that the new refrigeration system operates at peak performance, providing reliable and energy-efficient cooling for the new production lines.
